Anil Chaturvedi : An Introduction

**Family Background**
My father, the late Shri Ravindranath Chaturvedi, was a former editor of Chaturvedi Patrika, and my mother, the late Smt. Kasturi Chaturvedi, was a homemaker. I have three brothers. My eldest brother, the late Shri Ashok Chaturvedi from Bhopal, worked as an engineer in the Railways. He is survived by his wife, Ranjana Chaturvedi, and three children: a son, Manish, and two daughters, Rakhee and Megha.

My younger brother, Anuj Chaturvedi, is with Central Railways at Mumbai CST. His family includes his wife, Anita, and their three children: a son, Akshat, and two daughters, Roli and Neha.

**Immediate Family**
My wife, Dr. Pratibha, is a Consultant in Traditional Medicine with the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, New Delhi. We have a son and a daughter. Our son, Ankit, and his wife are currently working in Dublin, Ireland. Our daughter, Dr. Vedika, is married to Kanha, a Nuclear Scientist posted at Kalpakkam, Tamil Nadu.

**Professional Background**
I graduated with a BCom from Bombay University in 1982 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant (CA) in 1987. I practiced as a CA until January 2012. In 2012, I was selected as an Accountant Member in the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal (ITAT), serving in Ahmedabad, Pune, and Delhi. I retired from ITAT on 30th June 2023.

I AM THE 1ST PERSON FROM THE CHATURVEDI COMMUNITY TO HAVE BEEN APPOINTED AS ACCOUNTANT MEMBER (AM) OF ITAT.
